There needs to be a 'rule' that women should not get sick. Kids - we can look after. Men - we can sympathise with, sort of.
BUT how can I possibly cook dinner, make cards, clean the house, make cards, go to work, make cards, pick up the kids and make cards when my body is telling me "lie down - lie down - lie down"?
I am definitely reviewing that rule book :)
This week at Paper Sundaes we are having a Beachy/Summertime theme sponsored by Michelles Scrapbooking and More. It did cheer me up to sift through my bright and colourful papers and my summery stamps and create a card that reflects what I am dreaming of during our cold Melbourne winter.
Check out all the great products at Michelles and also take a look at all the inspiration that the rest of the design team have given you over at Paper Sundaes.
Just a bit of advice from a still sniffly woman - don't attempt to put a bow on a card while you are not well. The bow on this card took me longer to tie than it did to make the card.
So, while you are all doing a "Where's Wally" search for the bow, I will retrieve it from the rubbish bin and try again when I am feeling better. Have a good and healthy week all.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Craft your Days Away #25 Summertime
Fussy and Fancy #41 Summer
Allsorts #113 Free and Easy
2 Sisters #49 Anything Goes
Card Makin Mammas #25 Food and Drink
Craft us Crazy #13 Anything Goes

If I could make cards as good as you can when you're sick, I'd be a happy crafter! The ribbon part of your post made me chuckle. Must be tough too to make a summer card during the winter especially when you're sick! Get well soon.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I totally agree with your new proposed rule.
Oh my, I hope you feel better soon! I've definitely been there before and it's amazing how much longer it can take to do a whole card, let alone a bow, when you're sick. I would NEVER have known that you weren't feeling well when you did this card though- it's adorable! If anything could brighten a persons day it would be this :) Sending you get well wishes!
