Sweet Stampin' - White plus one

Have a look at my card and guess what I got for Christmas!!! Yes! you guessed it - I got a sandwich maker. A fabulous sandwich maker. Not just any sandwich maker but a red metallic sandwich maker. A sandwich maker which matches my red metallic toaster and my red metallic kettle.

Oh hang on .... you were thinking that I got this Poppy Stamps Small Madison Window
and Small Flower Box.
Silly silly you!
The sandwich maker was in a pre-Christmas catalogue that was delivered to my letterbox. It was right on the front page and easy to circle with pen and place subtly on the breakfast table.
Imagine for a moment trying to explain the above item. "Honey, I would really like this die thingy - it cuts out a window - and there is a box that goes with it - no not in a box - a window box - that is a die thingy too - and you put flowers in it - and it goes on a card - and you have to go into the craft shop."
Really ... that would have been mean to expect anyone to understand that.

It was just better to go off and buy my little craft items and simply add them to my stash as if they have been there for ages.
Now that I have finished this card, I am off to make myself a cup of tea and a toasted sandwich.

This week over at Sweet Stampin' our challenge to you is "White Plus One". Our sponsor for the month is The Ribbon Girl and and for this week it is Cuddly Buddly. Both have vouchers to give away so pop on over to Sweet Stampin' and join in.
I will enter this card in the following challenges:

The ABC challenge E for Embossing

  1. Ha ha! Yep, if something you drop hints to hubby about, it's gotta be simple & clear. Isn't buying stash & pretending you've had it ages the only way to go lol!

Bloomin' gorgeous card & clearly you don't have junior apprentices stealing your white cards!! Hugs xx

  3. Gorgeous card... love that die thingy :-) I too learned long ago that the only way to be sure you get the "right" crafty goodies is to buy them for yourself, lol. I do (sometimes) let hubby wrap them up for me ;-) Hope you had a great Christmas and that 2013 brings all that you wish for, Donna ☺

  4. This is one beauty of a card and I can see why you had to have those dies! But your Christmas pressie .... oh, the joy of stuff that matches! Sadly I'm the only one in my house who complains that x doesn't go with y. But I totally get matching kitchen appliances. Enjoy! Hugs, Tracey x

  8. For a white plus one I love this. The flower box is fun. A lot of work but so worth it for the finished product.

  10. This is so pretty Jenny, love the flowers and the little hanging tag. I would LOVE a red sandwich maker, I have bright red accents in my kitchen too. And I just buy the crafty stuff I want and hand it to the hubby and say "Merry Xmas to me from you", he wraps and I get it at xmas. Done.

  13. I love this card. This is sweet, pretty, and adorable. The color is a perfect accent color with the white, but I'm partial to pinks and peaches, too. My husband has no clue on what is necessary to make a beautiful card and why try to teach him. It's easier for me to pick up the mail at the box (for which I have the only key) and take my items to my craft room before he sees them. :)
