A Day to Celebrate

Part two of my masculine digi stash from Digi Stamps Boutique.
What a life, huh!
Sitting on a pier, casting a line, gazing out into the ocean, marvelling at the Pelicans.
I think that I would like to be a fisherman, I mean fisherperson.
Putting those wormy icky things onto that sharp hook, getting tangled up in your line, smelling fish all day, nowhere to plug my hair dryer in. On second thoughts ....

I am entering 'Fishing Stan' in the following challenges:
Here Comes the Boys #28 Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp and Show One for the Boys
Love to Create #17 Add a Sentiment
Tuesday Throwdown #100 Masculine (Top 5)
Stampin Royalty #126 Masculine
Fab 'n' Funky #123 Celebrations
Digi Stamp Boutique June competition

  4. Love how you coloured this too! And that measuring tape paper is fabby.

Your card/post is so apt for me right now as I'm sitting her snickering a bit as hubby has taken our kids to his Optimist Club's annual fishing derby. See, if I go with them I end up doing all the work. And I mean all the work, like putting worms on hooks and taking fish off hooks and carrying fish up to the station to be measured. (I wear gardening gloves and say "ewwwww, gross!" a lot.) This year I pretended to be asleep until they left. And to make it even better, it's a damp, dark, windy day and the temp is 9ºC. Never mind the snickering, now I'm chortling with glee at my genius for staying in bed. :-)

  6. Love your description of being a fisherperson with the wormy icky things and fish smell! Must be a man thing, who would want to spend their day doing that? LOL.

Love your card too, the image and colouring is great and I like the papers with the measurements cos I know size is everything when it comes to fishing. Very clever how you put the extra little tape measure by the fish itself, kind of like a tag. CoB

  12. This is how hubby and I go fishing. We start out real good then in about 30 minutes I am bored, playing with the pole, getting all twitchy so I bring a book. Joe fishes, I sit and read and since I wear a hat when fishing, no blow dryer needed! Love the card, cute little touch with the measuring tape, need to color this up for my dad for fathers day.
