I made this card just because ... I like ... NO! Love ... to colour.
I think that as a child I must have been deprived of colouring. Possibly I only had the 24 and not the 48 set of pencils. Maybe Santa didn't leave enough colouring books in my Christmas stocking. Probably my older sister secretly hoarded all our colouring 'stuff'.
I figure that there must be some deep and meaningful reason for my colouring obsession in my adult years ... and if anyone touches my Copic markers I will lay on the floor, cry, kick my legs and scream. :-)
I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:

ReplyDeleteI love your card! Your colouring looks fantastic!
There is just something so relaxing about spending time doing a little colouring isn't there.
The patterned papers you have used all co-ordinate beautifully too.

ReplyDeleteJenny your cards of late are fabulous !, sorry for the comment above dont know what it is but your blog page is taking an age to open then its jumping about all over , might be the backing picture , could be too big.
ReplyDeleteYour card is fabulous what a stunner , you have coloured her so beautifully , love her face and hair great work hugs Elaine
Just fabulous! Wonderful colouring.
ReplyDeleteI kwym about being possessive about your Copics. I once spent 10 minutes trying to find a flesh coloured pencil crayon in my dd's stash for her to use rather than handing her one of my Prismacolors.
Gorgeous! Such pretty colours and fab image - love how you've coloured her :o) Hugs, Lisa x
ReplyDeleteFantastic Colouring it's stunning thanks for joining us at Incy Wincy this week hugs Nikki & DT
ReplyDeleteNow you'd have really had the life if you got the 72 count box with the built in sharpener in the back!! Gorgeous coloring and the color palette is just gorgeous and love the different DP you've coordinated.

You poor baby, I think you should buy more stuff to make up for being deprived as a child, yes! yes! lets go with that idea! I am pretty sure I was deprived too so spending for me also!!!! Anyways, lovely card, those papers are beautiful and I love her hair, wish mine was that color!
ReplyDeleteFantastic card, love the colours thanks or joining us at Crafty Sentiments this week
ReplyDeleteCan I mention that your niece has the full set of derwents and colours all the time - obviously one of your traits. She has even ordered a colouring book from the USA online because the quality of the paper and items to colour in are so fantastic she couldn't resist.
ReplyDeleteDear Miss Anonymous - who I am guessing is my sister. What! She has the whole set of pencils. I am coming to your place to colour with Kimberley and her new paper. Hope that it is Copic friendly too.
DeleteNote to self: check which family members read my blog before blaming them for anything. LOL
Maybe it was our younger brother who took all the colouring 'stuff' (he wouldn't read this would he?) Love you both lots!
Ah I love it when someone loves to colour, I'm the same. Fab card and lovely image....the way you did her cheeks is gorgeous, and you matched your copic colours to your papers perfectly (so satisfying to look at!). CoB

Very very pretty card. Love the papers and your colouring. Such a good idea just to use a bit of the image...I never think of that, so thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny, and it shows! WOW what colouring - it's perfect!! Wonderful card and love your colour choices.
ReplyDeleteSarah
PS - I would say blame anything you like on your family, isn't that what they are there for????
Oh Jenny this is a fabulous card! Your colouring is AMAZING :) I love this card. Sarah x
ReplyDeleteWow!! Just stunning colouring Jenny! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome hun! :) Fabby papers, cute image and again brilliant colouring!
Now I am an impatient colourer, too much in a hurry to finish it, as I am scared of making a mistake!
And I have an aversion to orange, as when I was a kid, I remember my mum going to the corner shop and asking me if I wanted anything, and I always used to ask for a felt tips to colour with. She always came back with an orange pen (my sister had comics lol), and so everything I did was always orange! :D Many years later I told her about this, and she said the shop only had one colour to choose from, and I ended up eventually with the whole box of 20!! :D
Have a smashing day :)
hugs

Your post totally made me giggle :) I'm constantly wondering what I can blame my obsession for Copics on- that way I wouldn't have to feel guilty about buying more! I'm sure it definitely had something to do with my childhood- doesn't it always, lol! LOVE the colors you used and, as usual, your coloring is gorgeous! Many hugs, Katie
