This week at Paper Sundaes we are very excited to be sponsored by Saturated Canary and I have used the image called Ellie's Birthday. Our challenge this week is to use saturated colours.
The dictionary definition is: "of maximum
chroma or purity; of the highest intensity of hue; free from admixture of white"
So I read all the
'saturated' images links. (Perhaps 'all' is a bit of an over exaggeration) I studied hard as to the difference between warm
colours and intermediate colours and saturated or bright colours and now know
what 'hue' is (and not just Hugh Jackman and my Uncle Hugh). I read about complementary
contrasts, simultaneous contrasts and quantity contrasts. I learnt that there
is a word 'juxtaposition' and cant wait to play scrabble with someone.
So with
all this knowledge, when it finally came down to creating a card - I thought to
myself ......Yippeee - colouring!!!
I know - pretty 'in depth' huh!
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Tuesday Throwdown #79 Something Shiny (Those bling flower centres from Kaisercraft are pretty shiny - believe me!)
Top Tip Tuesday #67 Anything Goes
Partytime Tuesday #49 Something New (That would be Ellie)
Simon Says Stamp New Something (Ellie)
Fab 'n' Funky Something New (Ellie again)
Saturated Canary #8 Clean and Simple
Simply Create Too #4 More than 2 layers
Card Makin Mammas Something New (and Ellie)
