Just a thought!

Sometimes, don't you just want to sit down in the middle of all the kaos and close your eyes? Just a little nap occassionally is all I ask. Come to think of it - the laundry may be the perfect place for me to have said nap. I could be fairly guaranteed that no-one is going to bother me where there is a chance that they might be asked to collect their dirty clothes, to hang out a wet load or sort through some socks. Note to self: Don't bother making a cup of tea and sitting with your latest book in order to get a few minutes of peace (not going to happen) - go into the laundry and bury yourself in the ironing. Also arrange for a lock on the door  - because just my luck someone will actually need something ironed. (LOL)

  1. What a lovely card. I really like the mix of patterns in the paper.

Your post made me smile. I sometimes "escape" to the laundry room too. My ironing board hangs on the back of the door so when I use it I can tell my kids, "Nope I can't open the door, I'm ironing." ;)

  4. Hi Jenny,
Your card is gorgeous and your colouring is fabulous! That image shows exactly how I am feeling at the moment! I ended up working 3 days in a row and I am exhausted. Not surprising since it has been 6 years since I last worked as a teacher. My voice (a bit croaky at the moment)needs to be re-trained as it is not used to 3 days of constantly talking! The icing on the cake is I received a paycheck! Woo hoo me! I haven't earned a wage for a long time so it feels like Christmas! Cha-ching I'm going shopping!
